## Description

EuroBirdPortal is a collaborative initiative that brings together bird observation data to reveal how bird distributions across Europe change over time and space. Its work is powered by a network of around 100,000 volunteer birdwatchers, who contribute approximately 30 million new bird records each year. The portal makes these observations accessible through an interactive mapping experience, helping users explore where species occur and how their distribution patterns vary across seasons and years. Its extensive species catalogue covers a wide range of birds, from waterfowl and seabirds to raptors, waders, and familiar garden species. EuroBirdPortal also provides information about the project, its partners, and how to use the platform, alongside news and updates through its blog. The initiative supports the mobilization and use of bird records gathered across national boundaries, offering a shared resource for exploring European bird data. Through the LIFE EBP reinforcement effort, EuroBirdPortal continues to strengthen this Europe-wide approach to understanding bird distribution.
