## Description

EUROCHAMP-2020 is a European research infrastructure project that brings together advanced atmospheric simulation chambers to support research and innovation in atmospheric science. Funded through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 730997, the project aims to strengthen Europe’s capacity to investigate atmospheric processes.

The project coordinates activities to improve how its facilities operate and to establish standard protocols for generating and analysing data. It offers transnational access to sixteen atmospheric simulation chambers and four calibration centres, providing researchers with opportunities to use specialised facilities and services. Joint research activities further develop the infrastructure and enhance its support for users.

EUROCHAMP-2020 also works with the private sector to help realise the infrastructure’s innovation potential, including through the development of scientific instruments, sensor technologies and de-polluting materials. Its resources include facility information, project documentation, publications, guidelines, data services, training opportunities and events. By fostering collaboration, access and innovation, EUROCHAMP-2020 seeks to advance atmospheric research and maintain Europe’s strength in this field.
