## Description

The European Cocoa Association (ECA) is dedicated to addressing the various challenges faced by the European cocoa sector. Established in 2000, ECA's mission is to study, research, and implement effective solutions for industry-related issues, covering scientific, technical, environmental, and institutional domains. Additionally, ECA fosters close cooperation among its members at the European level.

While fulfilling its core responsibilities, ECA has also expanded its knowledge base in areas crucial to the cocoa sector. This includes food contaminants, international trade, environment and sustainability, acting as a bridge between the EU and cocoa-producing countries.

ECA serves as a platform for senior management-level discussions, engaging with companies involved in the complex cocoa supply chain. By maintaining close relationships with cocoa-producing countries and the EU, ECA strives to create lasting, impactful change on the ground.

Please note that ECA is not directly involved in cocoa buying, selling, or trading.

Interested in becoming an ECA member? Fill out the form on our website, and we'll gladly provide more information.
