## Description

European Microbiome Innovation for Health (EMIH) is a European network bringing together more than 30 private and public stakeholders working to advance microbiome-based innovation in human health. Its mission is to make medical innovation based on the microbiota a public health priority within the European Union and help bring new approaches to market while addressing unmet medical needs.

EMIH supports the development of microbiome-based therapeutics, diagnostics and medical bioproduction, with an emphasis on high quality standards and sustainable economic conditions for continued therapeutic innovation. Rather than offering healthcare products directly, the organization helps build an ecosystem in which members can collaborate, share expertise and support the development of tomorrow’s medicine.

The network also engages with policymakers, patient associations and investors, and offers members opportunities to contribute to policy discussions and make connections across the sector. Through news and initiatives, including its AI and Microbiome Bootcamp, EMIH highlights developments in the European microbiome field and promotes the industry’s growth.
