## Description

Europeum is a European Digital Infrastructure Consortium established by member states to operate and scale trusted digital infrastructures. Its mission is to support secure, transparent, and interoperable digital services across Europe’s public and private sectors, with European governance and control at their core. Europeum is the designated operator of the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI), responsible for its continuity, governance, and operation at European scale. The EBSI network includes more than 35 node operators across member states, and over 17 European use cases have been explored through related projects.

Europeum’s work focuses on digital sovereignty, cross-border interoperability, and trust and security designed into services. It also supports large-scale deployment and practical adoption, aiming to move infrastructure from pilots into production. Through EBSI, the consortium provides a shared foundation for digital trust services serving institutions and businesses, while contributing to Europe’s broader digital agenda. Europeum also engages with public authorities, European and international organisations, private-sector companies, academic and research institutions, and civil society on inquiries and collaboration opportunities.
