## Description

Eusko Ikaskuntza – Sociedad de Estudios Vascos (EI-SEV) is a private scientific and cultural organization founded in 1918 by the provincial councils of Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Navarre. Established to support the development of Basque culture, it brings people and institutions together to explore social, cultural and scientific questions affecting the Basque Country.

Its work focuses on social cohesion and community building, Basque culture and identity, the future of the Basque language, territorial cohesion and democratic participation, and paths to overall wellbeing. The organization develops research and collaborative projects, convenes conferences, forums, talks and other public events, and shares findings through news, articles, podcasts and the Revista Internacional de Estudios Vascos (RIEV). It also offers a documentation center and programs involving municipalities.

People can engage by joining as members, supporting the organization financially, participating in projects or attending events. Through research, discussion and public outreach, Eusko Ikaskuntza encourages shared reflection and practical proposals for the future of Basque society.
