## Description

E-ROQ and E-VEN are organizations dedicated to increasing education and promoting sustainable tourism in remote communities in Venezuela. Since 2019, they have been teaching English in Los Roques, and have recently expanded to Canaima. Their mission is to increase literacy in these communities by providing demographically adapted English education, with the goal of diversifying Venezuela's economy through sustainable tourism.

Some of their achievements include winning the Resolution Project Fellowship, creating their organization in the US and Venezuela, and training multiple cohorts of volunteers. They have also implemented virtual remote learning strategies during the COVID-19 quarantine and reached a total of 236 registered beneficiaries between both communities.

In recognition of their efforts, they have received the Dean's Community Service Award from the Harvard Medical School.

Their long-term vision is to empower communities through education, leading to social, cultural, and economic development. They plan to expand their programs to other high-tourism locations in Venezuela, aiming to improve communication between local populations and international tourists.
