## Description

An initiative of the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch and the Oral Health Cooperative Research Centre, it connects dental clinicians and academic researchers to strengthen knowledge of everyday dental practice. Its “practical science” approach supports research conducted in real-world dental settings, with work expected to meet recognised academic and clinical standards. The aim is to build research capacity, help practices produce and share evidence, and translate findings into improved oral health care and informed policy.

eviDent offers opportunities for dental practices to join its research network, participate in projects, submit research proposals and access training. Its work includes research grants, publications, presentations and oral health information, alongside human research ethics resources. The Foundation also invites community involvement through donations, fundraising, events, corporate partnerships and volunteering. These activities support collaboration between research and practice, helping generate evidence that can benefit dental professionals and the wider community.
