## Description

Evolving Relationships is the practice and educational brand of clinical psychologist Dr. Barbara Q. Tobias, dedicated to helping people build healthier relationships with themselves and others. Grounded in professional training, lived experience, and respect for personal resilience, its approach emphasizes understanding the patterns behind relationships, emotional responses, and life experiences. The aim is to support emotional clarity, meaningful growth, and lasting change in a compassionate, nonjudgmental setting.

Services include individual and couples psychotherapy for concerns such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship stress. The Academy for Evolving Relationships offers a 20-week intensive for women, men, and couples seeking to understand how relationship patterns influence connection and growth. Dr. Tobias also offers speaking engagements on relationships, mental health, resilience, trauma, faith, and women’s empowerment.

Her book, It’s Not You, It’s Me, is a memoir exploring faith, trauma, early experiences, and how these can shape attachment and behavior in relationships. Evolving Relationships is based in Temple Hills, Maryland, and invites prospective clients to schedule a consultation.
