## Description

Ewan David Eason is a London-based artist who has been captivating audiences since 2010 with his innovative approach to abstract imagery, inspired by both organic and man-made cartographic patterns. His work emphasizes the sacredness and diversity of our living landscapes, utilizing gilding with precious metals and complementary colors to draw viewers into a profound appreciation of the world around them. Eason's artistic process is rooted in meticulous accuracy and dedication, as he transforms historical maps, notably Charles Booth’s 1889 Descriptive Map of London Poverty, into striking representations of urban landscapes. By abstracting these color-coded maps into a singular, gilded vision, he speaks to the egalitarian essence of city life. His works have been displayed in prestigious venues such as The Barbican and The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, and have garnered recognition through features, including in the BBC's The Night Manager. Eason continues to showcase his remarkable art at International Art Fairs, making him a noteworthy figure in contemporary art.
