## Description

Founded in 1991, the company focuses on quality, safety, and improving patients’ quality of life. Its products and services support patients and families, hospitals, physicians, and community nursing teams across its European markets.

The portfolio includes catheters for pleural and abdominal drainage, drainage and puncture products, clinical supplies, and materials for home care. Product lines include PleurX and drainova systems. ewimed also provides accessories, guidance on selecting suitable treatment options, and training for healthcare professionals and patients. After catheter implantation and instruction, patients may be able to manage drainage at home, with support from family members or care staff where needed. This can help reduce the need for repeated hospital visits and punctures for recurring fluid build-up.

Through its patient information, support services, online shop, and educational resources, ewimed helps users understand its products and their use.
