## Description

East-West Pilbara Rubber Recycling (EWPRR) is a pioneering joint venture dedicated to addressing the challenges of tyre waste in the mining sector. Located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, EWPRR specializes in transforming end-of-life Giant Mining Tyres (GMTs) into sustainable reusable material through advanced thermal-mechanical devulcanization technology. This process breaks down sulfur bonds in vulcanized rubber, producing Tyre-Derived Polymer (TDP), which serves as an eco-friendly alternative to virgin rubber.

EWPRR is committed to fostering a circular economy by not only reducing the environmental impact of tyre disposal but also supporting Australia’s waste recovery and decarbonization objectives. The TDP created is utilized by rubber manufacturers for producing various new products, including tyres and conveyor belts. EWPRR welcomes collaboration from mining companies, rubber manufacturers, and environmentally-conscious individuals, inviting them to engage in promoting sustainability and innovation within the industry. Together, they are paving the way for a greener future in rubber recycling.
