## Description

The Exotic Pet Refuge is an animal rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary in Deeping Saint James, England. The charity rescues exotic animals from private owners, animal charities, sanctuaries and zoos, providing them with a safe, comfortable place to live. Its home includes more than 300 animals, among them monkeys, meerkats, raccoons, lynx, owls, foxes, reptiles, snakes and an alligator.

The refuge welcomes visitors on six open days each year, offering an opportunity to meet some of the animals it cares for. It also invites the public to support its work by volunteering, donating money or supplies, or adopting an animal. Support is important to the sanctuary’s operations, which have an annual cost of £85,000. Visitors can contact the refuge to arrange an animal experience outside of open days; such experiences are not offered during public open days.
