## Description

Expanse is a community-driven blockchain platform launched in 2015, built as an open-source fork of Ethereum. It supports smart contracts and decentralized applications, with a focus on creating a borderless, permissionless ecosystem. The project describes itself as censorship-resistant and uses proof-of-work consensus; it also introduced FRKHASH, a mining algorithm designed to reduce memory requirements and make mining more accessible to a wider range of computing devices.

Expanse offers the EXP cryptocurrency, along with resources for buying and tracking it, including market data, an explorer, and network statistics. Users can access an Expanse mobile wallet for Android, information about third-party wallets, mining guidance, development documentation, token-launch instructions, and open-source repositories. The ecosystem also includes EggSwap, a community-supported automated market-making decentralized exchange on the Expanse blockchain. Additional offerings include token listings, cross-chain initiatives, newsletters, a roadmap, and support through Discord and documentation. Expanse invites developers, miners, and community members to contribute to its blockchain projects and applications.
