## Description

Florida National Parks Association (FNPA) is a private, nonprofit organization and official partner of the National Park Service. Since its founding in 1951, FNPA has supported educational, interpretive, historical, and scientific research activities in South Florida’s national parks and preserve. The organization reports providing more than $6.4 million in aid to National Park Service areas in the region.

FNPA’s work benefits Biscayne National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, Dry Tortugas National Park, and Everglades National Park. It offers several ways for people to support its mission, including membership, donations, shopping, and purchasing the Florida Bay Forever specialty license plate. Members receive a 15% discount using their member ID. The association also shares park news and information, promotes educational initiatives such as Junior Ranger programs, and supports projects including boater education. Through these activities, FNPA helps preserve the parks as important parts of South Florida’s natural and cultural heritage, while encouraging visitors and communities to learn about and engage with these protected places.
