## Description

Save World Heritage (SWH) is an organization based in the United Arab Emirates that focuses on preserving and sharing history, with particular attention to world expositions and fairs. Its website introduces research, collections, exhibitions, events and projects designed to make historical subjects accessible to communities. SWH’s collections include more than 400,000 original photographs covering countries and subjects from the 1850s, as well as historical objects, souvenirs, books and prints. The current collecting focus is World Expos. Online features include collection highlights and a “Photo of the Day,” such as an 1862 International Exhibition tea tray. SWH also conducts research, often with academic partners; a featured study examines Arab world participation in expositions and fairs from 1851 to 2020. Its programs include exhibitions, workshops, seminars, lectures, documentary films, training and press conferences. The organization is also developing a World Expo History Museum project and shares information about Expo 2020 Dubai. Through these activities, SWH connects historical research and artifacts with public engagement.
