# ExtendPUA.org - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `extendpua.org` ## Description ExtendPUA.org is a grassroots movement of pandemic unemployed workers advocating for comprehensive COVID relief legislation focused on The People. Founded in July 2020 by Stephanie Freed and Grant McDonald, two pandemic unemployed professionals in the live events and entertainment industry, the organization has gained the support of over 25,000 people directly affected by the unemployment crisis. Their mission is to ensure that pandemic assistance continues until the pandemic is over. ExtendPUA.org provides a range of resources, including information, updates, and tools for people to directly advocate to their elected officials. They have created a database of Congresspeople's contact information and socials, as well as a help section for workers struggling with claim issues. The organization also creates compelling videos, graphics, and story cards, aiming to make the issues more understandable for legislators and the public. They maintain a blog with news, explainers, and calls to action, and actively engage with the press, pitching on the challenges faced by unemployed workers. ExtendPUA.org has successfully built a community of over 25,000 unemployed and underemployed workers. They connect and inform their community through various channels such as their blog, email list, and social media accounts. The organization also actively participates in coalition building and lobbying efforts. They have facilitated meetings with senators and their staff, shared constituent stories, and submitted testimony to various committees. Their efforts have led to policy wins totaling over 1 trillion federal dollars to programs supporting workers through the pandemic. ExtendPUA.org is entirely volunteer-based and funded out of their own pockets. They welcome donations to support their work in advocating for pandemic unemployed workers. ## Industries - ⚖️ Law and Government - 🎗 Community and Society ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/extendpua) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/extendpua) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/extendpua) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idhBzUZCcJ/w/400/h/400/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1778362259971) - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idhBzUZCcJ/w/248/h/26/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1778362259855) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Dodger Blue | #00b3ff | accent | | Guardsman Red | #d10000 | dark | | Anakiwa | #80dbff | light | ## Fonts - Arial — asset _(custom)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idhBzUZCcJ/w/1500/h/500/ideIzdh6Xh.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1778362260156) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
