## Description

EyeWiki is an online ophthalmology encyclopedia created to help ophthalmologists, other physicians, patients, and the public learn about eye diseases, diagnosis, and treatment. The resource is a collaboration between the American Academy of Ophthalmology and more than a dozen professional societies. Its articles cover a broad range of specialties, including cataract and anterior segment care, cornea, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular trauma, oculoplastics, oncology, pediatric ophthalmology, retina, and uveitis.

EyeWiki invites qualified ophthalmologists and ophthalmologists in training to contribute, with editorial oversight provided by a board of eye-care professionals and specialty section editors. Visitors can browse educational articles, use getting-started guidance, and consult content guidelines and suggested topics. The site also offers opportunities for residents, fellows, and international ophthalmologists to participate in writing contests. EyeWiki content is accessible through the AAO Ophthalmic Education app as well as the website. Together, its reference articles, contribution resources, and educational initiatives support the sharing of ophthalmic knowledge among medical professionals and the wider community.
