Fab Lab Caracas is a pioneering digital manufacturing laboratory in Venezuela, implementing innovative Fab Lab methodologies. Founded by Architect Daniela Viloria and Engineer Idania Rivas, Fab Lab Caracas offers a range of services including 3D printing, prototyping, design, robotics, courses, and workshops on biomaterials. As part of the global Fab Lab network, it is connected to a creative community of makers, artists, scientists, architects, engineers, educators, and professionals in over 120 countries. Fab Lab Caracas has established strategic alliances with private companies, governmental organizations, scientific institutions, and non-profit organizations at national and international levels. These partnerships include the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), Miranda Produce System, the Government of Miranda State, Fundacite, ASOVENP, SVC, the Research Council of the University of the East, and The Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation. Fab Lab Caracas strives to provide access to technology and digital manufacturing tools for education, innovation, and invention. They collaborate with both public and private sectors to develop training activities and implement projects that increase access to technology.
