## Description

Families Against Narcotics (FAN) is a dedicated community-based organization focused on supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. Established to foster recovery and combat the stigma associated with substance use disorders, FAN offers a range of services designed to educate and empower its members. Their programs include peer and family coaching, Narcan training for overdose prevention, and support initiatives like "Hope Not Handcuffs", which connects those in crisis with local resources.

FAN is active in numerous locations throughout Michigan, providing accessible support groups, workshops, and educational events such as "Recover Out Loud" and overdose awareness days. Additionally, they encourage community involvement through volunteer opportunities and fundraising events like the Annual Fall Fest Gala. Their commitment to making a difference extends to offering resources like scholarship programs and tailored online materials. With a mission to dispel misconceptions and cultivate understanding, FAN is transforming the narrative around addiction and recovery in communities across the region.
