## Description

Fährmannsfest e.V. is a vibrant non-profit organization that organizes the largest alternative open-air music festival in the Hannover region. Celebrated since 1983, the Fährmannsfest takes place annually on the first weekend of August, drawing thousands to the picturesque confluence of the Ihme and Leine rivers. The festival offers a diverse array of cultural performances, lively music stages featuring renowned bands like Madsen and Talco, and a warm atmosphere that fosters community spirit.

In addition to the main music festival, the event includes a dedicated Kinderfest, transforming the Faust-Wiese into a giant playground filled with engaging activities and concerts designed for younger audiences. The festival emphasizes inclusivity and democracy, making it a family-friendly gathering that promotes social awareness through various exhibitions and activities.

With its enchanting sunsets and vibrant social gatherings lasting into the night, Fährmannsfest is not just an event but a cherished tradition that brings people together to celebrate music, creativity, and community. Join us for an unforgettable experience in 2025!
