## Description

Fair KM is a trail-running information platform focused on helping runners compare race costs and find events that offer fair value. Covering trail races in Italy and the UK, it brings together verified race details, transparent pricing analysis and insights from people who have actually run the events. Its main comparison measure is cost per kilometre-effort, which accounts for both distance and elevation gain: every 100 metres of climbing adds one kilometre of effort. Races are assessed using their standard entry fee, with other fee tiers shown alongside where available and a threshold of up to €1.00 per kilometre-effort classified as fair.

Fair KM’s race pages organise practical details such as distance, elevation, entry requirements, what the fee includes and price history. The platform relies on official sources, avoids estimated values and identifies information that has not been published or verified. It also plans to provide course maps and profiles, cut-off times, mandatory-kit details and runner-focused community features, including ride sharing, course recces and finding a pacer.
