## Description

Falknerei Basel offers close, responsible encounters with birds of prey and professional bird-deterrence services. Rooted in the tradition of falconry, the organisation combines practical experience with a respectful approach to wildlife, placing the wellbeing of its birds at the centre of its work. The team, including falconers Ben and Simon, provides appropriate care and regular training, treating the birds as partners rather than tools.

For visitors, Falknerei Basel creates educational experiences focused on learning about and appreciating birds of prey and owls. Options include Hawk Walks, a “Falconer for a Day” experience, children’s birthday activities, and individual programmes for families, schools, companies, clubs, and other groups. The emphasis is on genuine, respectful encounters rather than performances.

For businesses, farms, property managers, municipalities, and public or industrial sites, the organisation uses trained birds of prey to naturally deter pest birds such as pigeons, gulls, and crows. This targeted approach is designed to discourage birds from returning while avoiding harm to nature.
