Fall in Laugh is a modernized laughter therapy brand that offers a unique combination of laughter exercises, yogic breathing, and meditation to help individuals release tensions and stress from their daily lives. The practice, which is adapted from various teachings, begins by using Pranayama yogic and mindful breathing techniques to induce relaxation and inspire synergy within participants. This is followed by a series of exercises designed to trigger localized laughter within the body, releasing built up muscle tension. Laughter has been proven to boost blood flow by up to 50% and activate the release of serotonin and dopamine in the brain. Even a forced laugh can quickly transform into a genuine one, bringing joy to the individual. Throughout the session, participants learn about the theories and practical applications behind the practice, ending with a brief meditation to internalize the positive effects on the body. Fall in Laugh was initially an auxiliary class at Stanford in their Humor & Resilience course during the 2020-2021 academic year. The brand was founded by Thomas Cock, a humorist and actor with a passion for laughter. Thomas discovered the healing power of laughter during his time in San Francisco, where he organized tours, wrote jokes, and hosted comedy dinners. Since discovering laughter yoga, he has been practicing it to bring joy to his own life and is now dedicated to sharing its virtues with others.
