## Description

With more than 900 employees, including around 200 apprentices and students, it is an established provider and training institution in the social sector. Its services operate across Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Aargau, helping families balance work and family life while promoting equal opportunity and integration.

The association runs more than 40 childcare centres, with around 1,700 places and approximately 3,000 children in its care. Its services also include a children’s home and decentralized residential groups offering social-educational support. The Im Vogelsang intake home provides round-the-clock crisis intervention and assessment for children in acute difficult situations. Through its Centre for Foster Children, familea connects children and young people with a pool of more than 200 foster families and supports foster placements. Its women’s counselling service offers social and legal advice to women living in Basel-Stadt. Additional family services include nanny placement, emergency childcare, holiday camps, first-aid courses and counselling for relatives.
