Family Caregivers of British Columbia (FCBC) is a brand that proudly and compassionately supports over one million caregivers in British Columbia. These caregivers provide physical and/or emotional care to family members, partners, friends, or neighbors. FCBC's mission is to improve the quality of life for family caregivers through support, information, and education. FCBC offers a range of products and services to support caregivers in their roles. They provide direct support through one-on-one emotional support, caregiver support groups, health care system navigation resources, and free information such as their eNews, blogs, and Caregiver Connection Magazine. They also educate caregivers and health care providers through free webinars, workshops, and caregiver support group facilitator training. One of FCBC's priorities is to engage with health sectors, social sectors, and caregivers to strengthen the voice of family caregivers in programs and services. They advocate for the inclusion of caregivers as partners in care and in health care system improvement efforts. Established in 1989, FCBC is a not-for-profit registered charity funded by the Ministry of Health, United Way Greater Victoria, and Island Health. They are dedicated to supporting family caregivers and improving their well-being.
