## Description

The Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) is dedicated to promoting understanding, education, and appreciation of the history and culture of Filipino Americans in the United States. Founded in 1982 by Dorothy Laigo Cordova in Seattle, Washington, FANHS has grown into a non-profit organization with a national presence. Governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, FANHS operates the National Pinoy Archives, a museum in Stockton, California, and over 40 chapters across the country.

FANHS is the go-to resource for information on Filipino Americans, catering to a diverse audience including schools, colleges, museums, and individuals interested in Filipino American heritage. The organization hosts biennial conferences where the community gathers to share research and honor groundbreaking work in historical analysis.

To stay updated on events and activities, visit the FANHS website and social media pages. Join FANHS in celebrating Filipino American History Month every October and explore the rich heritage and contributions of Filipino Americans in the United States.
