## Description

The Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) Delano Chapter is a community organization focused on preserving and sharing Filipino American history, culture, and personal stories. Guided by the message “Know History. Know Self,” it connects local heritage with education and community participation. Its website features information on Delano history, the Delano Manongs, the Congressional Gold Medal project, the Bold Step and Morningside murals, and Salaysay, a space inviting people to contribute family immigration stories and memories.

The chapter brings people together through events and historical tours, including Philippine Weekend, which features a Barrio Fiesta and basketball tournament. Its activities also highlight art that tells the story of labor leader Larry Itliong and student artwork created at Morningside Elementary School. Visitors can explore news, event calendars, photo galleries, membership and dues information, and volunteer opportunities. The organization also offers the Mina Scholarship, supporting its educational and community mission. Through storytelling, cultural gatherings, and local-history resources, FANHS Delano helps preserve the experiences and contributions of Filipino Americans for future generations.
