## Description

FARAPULSE is a Boston Scientific cardiac ablation brand focused on treatment information for people living with atrial fibrillation (AFib). Its featured technology, the FARAPULSE Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) System, is used in a minimally invasive procedure that delivers short pulses of electrical energy to target heart tissue responsible for irregular rhythms. Unlike traditional thermal ablation, which uses heat or cold, PFA is designed to limit effects on nearby structures. The FARAWAVE catheter is intended to isolate pulmonary veins for paroxysmal AFib and, in certain cases, the pulmonary veins and posterior wall for persistent AFib lasting less than one year.

The brand’s patient resources include information about AFib symptoms and treatment, a quiz to explore potential candidacy, a brochure, help finding a treatment center, and access to FARAPULSE Education Specialists by phone. The site also shares patient experiences and clinical study findings about safety and outcomes. FARAPULSE encourages people to discuss possible benefits and risks with a doctor, since suitability depends on individual health circumstances and all medical procedures carry risks.
