Santa Fe Farmers' Market Institute is a nonprofit organization founded in 2002 with the aim of supporting the Santa Fe Farmers' Market in making healthy, locally grown food easily accessible to the community. Their first goal was to provide an affordable year-round space for vendors to sell their goods, and since then, they have expanded their outreach to the local agricultural community. In partnership with the Santa Fe Farmers' Market, they bring fresh, healthy food to the Southside through the Santa Fe Farmers' Del Sur Market. The mission of the Santa Fe Farmers' Market Institute is to advocate for farmers, provide equitable access to fresh, local food, own and operate a year-round venue for the market, and manage programs to sustain a profitable agricultural community. The Institute's values include caring for the environment, upholding integrity by ensuring high-quality, locally produced products, embracing diversity and increasing food access, fostering community through programs and social interaction, and promoting cooperation and kindness in all interactions.
