## Description

Farm Giraffe is an innovative company based in Fremont, California, dedicated to revolutionizing the harvesting of specialty crops grown on full-size trees, particularly avocados and stone fruits. Unlike conventional harvesting systems that are limited to heights of ten feet, Farm Giraffe has developed advanced harvesting robots featuring a telescoping arm designed to reach deep into natural canopies. This unique solution addresses the challenge of harvesting tall, dense trees that current automation cannot effectively penetrate.

With a vertical working range of four to over twenty-five feet and horizontal canopy penetration of ten to eleven feet, these robots help growers automate the harvest of crops that traditionally require labor-intensive hand-picking. As labor scarcity and wage pressures rise, Farm Giraffe's technology offers a cost-effective alternative for growers facing these economic challenges. By focusing on avocados and stone fruits initially, Farm Giraffe is committed to enhancing efficiency in high-hand-labor environments, ultimately transforming the agricultural landscape for tall-canopy orchards.
