Fashion Revolution is a global movement that aims to create a fashion industry that values people and the planet. Founded in 2013 by Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro, Fashion Revolution is now the world's largest fashion activism movement. We mobilize citizens, brands, and policymakers through research, education, and advocacy.

At Fashion Revolution, we believe in creating an end to human and environmental exploitation in the global fashion industry. We strive for safe and dignified working conditions and living wages for all people in the supply chain. Our vision also includes a more equal balance of power across the industry, a stronger labor movement, and a focus on conserving resources and regenerating ecosystems.

To achieve change, we work on multiple fronts. We raise public awareness, educate people about the challenges facing the fashion industry, and mobilize communities for collective action. We also conduct research, highlight industry shortcomings, and influence brands through consumer pressure.

Additionally, we advocate for policy changes and encourage governments to regulate the industry more effectively. Our approach is action-oriented and solution-focused. We celebrate fashion as a positive influence while addressing its pressing problems.

We aim to inspire individuals to make positive changes in their personal lives and work. Through our platform, we facilitate consumer-producer interaction, promote transparency, and influence industry practices. Fashion Revolution Week, held annually during the week of April 24th, commemorates the Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh.

This disaster highlighted the need for change in the fashion industry and serves as a reminder that no one should die for fashion. Fashion Revolution is represented by Fashion Revolution CIC, a not-for-profit social enterprise that leads a global network of country offices and volunteer coordination teams. Together, we work towards ensuring safe, clean, and fair clothing production.
