## Description

Natura Amiga is a Colombian environmental conservation organization focused on transforming society’s relationship with nature. Its work aims to protect the country’s biodiversity and ecosystems for future generations through conservation, education, and community participation. The organization invites people to get involved through adoption programs for the cotton-top tamarin, loggerhead turtle, a hectare of forest or wetland, and a tree supporting reforestation and conservation.

Natura Amiga works in strategic protected areas, including the Corrales and El Ocho wetlands in Antioquia and the Ayapel Wetlands Complex in Córdoba. Its field projects include supporting the declaration of protected areas, preparing and updating management plans, social mapping, and technical coordination. Since 2020, it has worked with Fundación Omacha on the GEF Magdalena Cauca Vive project in Ayapel, including efforts related to wetland management and protection of the Antillean manatee. Through its projects and participation opportunities, Natura Amiga connects communities and supporters with practical efforts to conserve Colombia’s ecosystems and wildlife.
