## Description

Father.IO is an augmented reality gaming brand created by Proxy42 Inc., based in San Francisco. Its flagship experience, Father.IO AR FPS, brings first-person shooter gameplay into real-world outdoor spaces, turning parks, squares and other locations into multiplayer battle arenas. Designed as “real-life laser tag,” the game combines mobile augmented reality with GPS features so players can locate teammates, track opponents and take part in tactical battles while moving around in person.

Players can choose team deathmatches with up to 16 players on each side or free-for-all matches with up to 32 participants. The game offers four weapon types—assault rifle, sniper rifle, submachine gun and handgun—with different ranges, accuracy, firing rates and damage. GPS-based abilities include an ammunition crate, medical support, EMP and Claymore. The Inceptor is a compact companion device designed to enable player-versus-player gameplay beyond the phone screen. Father.IO presents its offering as a game made by gamers for gamers, and its website provides access to the free download, along with company resources and policies.
