## Description

FatigueSense is a health-tracking app designed to help people living with energy-limiting conditions understand their fatigue and pace daily activities. It supports people with chronic fatigue, Long COVID, cancer-related fatigue, multiple sclerosis, post-viral fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis and related conditions. Rather than encouraging users to do more, the app helps them plan within their changing limits and recognise when they may be approaching a threshold that could lead to a crash.

FatigueSense uses data from a person’s sleep, heart rate and activity to estimate a daily energy budget, highlight recovery and potential post-exertional malaise risk, and inform gentle activity planning. Its personalised model learns from each user’s own data, with guidance improving through continued use. The app works with a range of existing wearables, including Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Oura Ring and WHOOP, and is available for iOS and Android in English, Dutch, French, German and Spanish.

FatigueSense is an academic research project affiliated with Newcastle University and the NIHR Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre.
