## Description

FAWQC is a non-profit association of professionals, established in 1978, with a dedicated focus on managing, enhancing, and safeguarding the quality of Florida's waters. Recognizing the vital role that water resources play in driving Florida's economy, FAWQC is committed to proactive collaboration, innovation, and education in water quality management. By fostering a professional forum for collaboration and innovation in technology and regulation, FAWQC strives to protect the interconnected surface and ground water systems that impact drinking water supplies, wildlife habitats, industries, agriculture, and the recreation-based economy. As Florida continues to grow, the decisions made today regarding water resources will shape its future. In addition, FAWQC actively engages and inspires future generations through the Environmental Education Fund, offering research grants to teachers implementing water-related science projects in classrooms and supporting students at county and state science fairs.
