## Description

FCBG, short for the Federation of Children's Book Groups, is a UK charity that brings children and books together, fostering a love of reading for pleasure. As a national voluntary self-funded organization, their mission is to promote enjoyment and interest in children's books and reading, making books accessible to children of all ages, from first picture books to young adult literature. FCBG offers various services and initiatives both on a national and local level. On a national level, they organize the prestigious Children's Book Award, the only national award in the UK that is solely voted for by children. They also host an annual Children's Book Conference, where members can gather to discuss books, meet guest authors and industry professionals, and organize book events and exhibitions for children. At a local level, FCBG supports the establishment of local Children's Book Groups, where members can come together to discuss books, access resources, and participate in various activities related to children's literature. To stay updated with the latest news, reviews, interviews, and more about children's books, readers can subscribe to FCBG's blog and newsletters. FCBG's dedication to bringing children and books together is evident in their commitment to promoting literacy and nurturing a lifelong love of reading.
