## Description

Festival der Regionen is a prestigious contemporary art and culture festival held biennially in rural Upper Austria since 1993. Scheduled for June 13 to 22, 2025, the festival will take place for the first time in the Innviertel region, with Braunau am Inn as its focal point. Under the theme Realistic Dreams, the festival will explore the pervasive feeling of uncertainty, seeking new narratives and utopias through artistic expression. This festival serves as a platform for addressing pressing societal issues such as homeland, work, asylum, hostility, migration, and exclusion. It encourages collaboration between international artists and the local community, fostering meaningful connections and dialogues. Local cultural organizations partner with regional creators, inviting the public to engage in the events. As one of Austria's most celebrated cultural festivals, Festival der Regionen emphasizes the importance of art as a medium for social reflection and transformation, making it an enriching experience for participants and visitors alike.
