## Description

The Federació d’Escacs de la Comunitat Valenciana (FECV) is the regional chess federation serving the Valencian Community from its office in Valencia, Spain. It supports and promotes chess through competitions, training, resources and information for players, clubs, coaches and officials. Its calendar covers provincial and regional individual championships, interclub events, youth and school competitions, rapid and blitz tournaments, and other open events. The federation also publishes tournament regulations, schedules, results, circulars and news, helping participants follow activities across the region.

FECV provides educational and development opportunities, including courses for coaches and arbiters, technical training, workshops and sessions for schools and other organisations. Its dedicated areas address women’s chess, school sport, chess development and the game’s history. The federation also shares information on grants, insurance and accident procedures, governance, official documents and child-protection protocols. Through its website, newsletter, podcast and social media channels, FECV keeps the chess community informed about events, achievements and initiatives, while offering contact and administrative information for members and the public.
