## Description

Federación LIRA, the Andalusian Rheumatology League, is a nonprofit organization that brings together 13 patient associations supporting people with rheumatic diseases. Based in Seville, it represents member associations before regional, provincial and local administrations, as well as public and private healthcare bodies. Its mission is to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of people affected by rheumatic conditions across Andalusia.

Federación LIRA provides information and guidance for patients, families and caregivers, and offers technical advice to associations developing programs and projects. Its services include free physiotherapy treatments focused on self-care, rehabilitation and prevention; self-help workshops addressing confidence, coping with illness and living with pain; and psychological support to help people manage the emotional challenges of chronic disease. The federation also organizes training courses and events covering rheumatic conditions, diagnoses and treatment developments.

Its wider work includes sharing expertise, strengthening cooperation among associations, promoting education in rheumatology and raising public awareness of the social challenges faced by patients.
