## Description

The Center for the Study of Federalism (CSF), established in 1967 by Daniel J. Elazar at Temple University, serves as a premier research and educational institution focused on federalism. Renowned for its commitment to advancing understanding of federal principles and processes, CSF transitioned to Lafayette College in 1999, continuing its mission under the direction of John Kincaid. Among its notable contributions is "Publius: The Journal of Federalism," published since 1971, which provides scholarly insight into federal issues.

CSF fosters academic engagement by hosting conferences, workshops, and institutes tailored for scholars and educators, particularly in federalist theory and practice. By collaborating with institutions and creating initiatives like the American Political Science Association's Section on Federalism, CSF empowers a diverse community of scholars and practitioners. Additionally, it offers grants for research projects, promoting deeper exploration of federalism in various contexts, thereby solidifying its reputation as a pivotal center for federal studies in the United States.
