## Description

The Federazione Italiana Kendo (FIK) is a national, nonprofit association dedicated to the practice and development of Japanese martial arts in Italy. It operates as a private legal entity under Italian civil law and relevant legislation, and is affiliated with the International Martial Arts Federation (IMAF). The federation reports a network of more than 50 affiliated dojos, supporting practitioners and local clubs across the country.

FIK’s disciplines include Kendo, Iaido, Batto-Do, Kodachi Goshin-Do and Naginata. Its activities bring members together through training stages, tournaments, seminars and other events, with news covering examinations, federation meetings and developments in Italian Kendo. The website also provides information about the federation’s statutes, organisational structure, regulations, forms and where to practise, alongside a members’ reserved area. Through these resources and events, FIK serves as a point of reference for its affiliated dojos, instructors and practitioners. The federation lists contact details for its secretariat and leadership and provides its legal headquarters address in Villaggio Faro Superiore, Messina.
