## Description

FEEFHS, or The Foundation for East European Family History Studies, is an international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting genealogical research in Eastern and Central Europe. Established in 1992 and rebranded in 2014, FEEFHS provides a platform for individuals of all ethnic and religious backgrounds to explore their family histories in some of the most challenging regions to research. The organization's flagship event is its annual conference, which attracts leading experts in Eastern European genealogy, offering workshops and presentations to empower researchers. Held in Salt Lake City near the FamilySearch Library, the conference facilitates access to valuable resources. FEEFHS encompasses a wide geographic area, studying countries ranging from Albania to Ukraine, including those formerly behind the Iron Curtain. The organization also encourages collaboration with religious institutions and volunteers to enhance the availability of genealogical records. By creating resources and connecting genealogists, FEEFHS continues to foster an inclusive community for those interested in East European family history research.
