## Description

Feenotes is an independently curated music reference site dedicated to artists, composers, groups and music. Started in 2007, it has grown into an ongoing collection of biographies, research and musical information, with new and revised entries added regularly. The site draws on music from the owner’s personal collection and material gathered from collections spanning genres and countries around the world. Rather than aiming to provide complete discographies, Feenotes offers varied selections and informative entries that explore who performed on or composed particular songs and pieces. It also seeks to recognize the session musicians, orchestral players and backing singers whose contributions can be overlooked. The project has benefited from help by artists and other contributors, including people who have supplied music, researched entries and assisted with site administration. Feenotes cites sources where possible and acknowledges copyright considerations. Visitors can browse its artist, composer, group and music sections, or search the database. As a long-running, continually developing labour of love, the site welcomes contributions to help support its research and ongoing operation.
