## Description

Female:Pressure is a pioneering transnational network and online database dedicated to showcasing and connecting women, transgender, non-binary, and genderqueer individuals in the realms of electronic music and visual arts. Founded in 1998 by Electric Indigo, this platform serves as a vital resource for over 3100 members in 86 countries as of May 2024. Female:Pressure aims to amplify the visibility and recognition of underrepresented artists in the electronic music scene, combatting the misconception of a lack of diversity in the industry.

Beyond just a directory, Female:Pressure operates as a dynamic community fostering collaboration and dialogue through activities like the Perspectives Festival, podcast series, and FACTS reports. Upholding an intersectional and anti-racist ethos, this platform celebrates and archives the work of its diverse members, reflecting its continuous evolution and commitment to inclusivity. To join this empowering network, simply reach out via email to be listed and celebrated for your unique contributions.
