## Description

FEMI is a medical organization committed to representing and supporting physicians in the interior of Uruguay. Its work brings together medical guilds and professional groups, with an organizational structure that includes an executive council, commissions, advisers, and regional coordination. The website provides information about FEMI’s history, statutes, governance, and guidance for physicians, including instructions for medical strikes and current labor regulations.

For members, FEMI offers affiliation services, membership certificates, and benefits. These include a one-year exemption from the union fee for recently graduated doctors and a 10% discount on the annual SAIP insurance policy for new members. The organization also shares information on medical compensation in the public and private sectors and provides practical resources for responding to violence in healthcare settings, such as reporting forms, procedural guidance, and an action protocol.

FEMI supports professional development by offering members opportunities to win scholarships for online courses, medical conferences, and educational events. Its website also publishes news, videoconferences, and contact details for its services and committees.
