## Description

Feral by Nature is a boutique ecological consultancy based near Lismore in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Led by principal ecologist Jakub Juszczak, the business provides biodiversity assessment and feral animal management services across NSW and interstate. Its team brings more than 15 years of experience and includes NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accredited, master’s-qualified professionals who are licensed and insured.

Ecological services include biodiversity assessment reports such as BDARs, BSSARs and BCARs; flora and fauna surveys; vegetation mapping; threatened-species monitoring; environmental reviews; GIS analysis and mapping; and pre-clearing fauna surveys and clearing supervision. The consultancy also offers fauna spotter-catcher services.

For feral animal management, Feral by Nature conducts field inspections and monitoring using motion-activated cameras, thermal optics and spotlighting, then advises on practical control strategies. Available methods include baiting, trapping and shooting, targeting species such as wild dogs, foxes, feral cats, pigs and deer. Project work has included mine rehabilitation monitoring, highway biodiversity assessments, wild dog trapping and microbat surveys.
