## Description

The Fermanagh Trust is an independent, community-based foundation supporting local communities and voluntary groups across County Fermanagh and its hinterlands, with some initiatives reaching further afield. Its work focuses on wellbeing, community development and helping people and organisations make a lasting contribution to local life. The Trust administers its own grants programme and a range of dedicated funds, including community benefit funds and charitable foundations. These provide support for community initiatives, young people’s sporting and creative development, and other local needs through grants and bursaries. Beyond funding, the Trust offers research and community development support, leadership programmes for emerging leaders, and training for community volunteers. Its work also includes online courses and a Diploma in Community Development Practice. Through the Rural Centre for Shared Education, an initiative established by the Trust, it supports shared education and has been involved in this field since 2008. Fermanagh House, managed as part of its community offer, provides a venue for meetings, workshops and conferences.
