## Description

Fermoy Montessori School is an I.M.E.B.-accredited pre-school in Green Hill, Fermoy, County Cork. Established in 1971, it has a long history of preparing young children for primary school through Montessori education. The school is dedicated to each child’s holistic development, encouraging independence, responsibility and learning at an individual pace in a welcoming, home-from-home setting.

Its educational approach is guided by the Montessori method and supported by the ECCE and AIM schemes, as well as Aistear and Síolta. The school’s history began with founder Norma Greehy, who recognised the need for early education and opened the school with five children. Today, it is owned by Ida Greehy, who holds a Master’s in Education and has more than 19 years of experience working with children. She also lectures in Montessori and Early Years Education.

Fermoy Montessori School provides information for families through its website, including details about the school, its educational schemes, a photo gallery, and registration. Parents can contact the school directly to enquire or apply for their child.
