## Description

The Festival du Film Italien de Villerupt is a long-running cultural event dedicated to Italian cinema, bringing films and audiences together in Villerupt and neighboring towns. Founded in 1976, it has presented 48 editions and is preparing its 49th. The festival showcases contemporary and classic Italian filmmaking through sections including Competition, Out of Competition, Panorama, retrospectives, themed programs and filmmaker portraits. Its program also includes a school selection and screenings beyond the main festival locations.

The 2026 edition is set to present 60 films and more than 250 screenings across six venues in four towns. Films are shown in their original language with French subtitles unless otherwise noted. Visitors can browse screening schedules, buy individual tickets or a Public Pass offering unlimited access to all screenings and venues during the festival, and find guidance on access, accommodation and dining. The organization also provides information for professionals and the press, shares festival news and archives, and offers festival merchandise, including the 2026 poster.
